What I hear you ask are "slip on shoes."Explanation now follows.
My lovely wife Glenda and I first met Robert when he was just knee high to a grasshopper. We (Liz, Brian and Tim) used to meet every weekend to complete the restoration of an old boat.
Robert wasn't too interested in the restoration process but instead took a liking to my casual(lace less) shoes.
Ever loving Mum Liz, got him a pair and the next time we met he proudly showed them off to me and presented a challenge.
"I bet I can get them on and off faster than you" Oh yes I said and took up this challenge knowing darned well I would win.
And of course I did until one weekend I noticed he was getting better and better and I was losing my advantage.
Very worrying!
Gradually I started to lose the challenge.
A week or two later I (being in charge of the boat's engine)
went below and noticed that the tin of grease was missing!!!
ALL WAS NOW CLEAR
Good man, wish I had thought of it!
